Could Canada and Australia form a critical minerals supergroup?

The timing couldn’t be more exquisite.

Next week, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will address the Australian Parliament on the relationship between the two countries.

Last month, the former Bank of Canada and Bank of England governor delivered a landmark speech to the World Economic Forum, where he pronounced the death of the “rules-based order” and argued it was time for medium powers to form new allegiances.

It was a speech that, by all accounts, enraged US President Donald Trump.
