Bullfrog Gold Corporation (TSX-V: FROG) holds a 100% interest in the 10,050-acre South Bullfrog gold project located in the heart of the Beatty District within the Walker Lane Trend in southwestern Nevada.
The property is entirely surrounded by major regional development and consolidation efforts led by AngloGold Ashanti, which assembled extensive district-scale holdings through a series of major acquisitions between 2021 and 202.
The Beatty District is located at the southern margin of the Walker Lane Trend and was consolidated between 2021 and 2025 by AngloGold Ashanti through the acquisitions of Corvus Gold, Coeur Sterling, and Augusta Gold.
HIGHLIGHTS
- South Bullfrog was staked in 2021 just prior to AngloGold’s acquisitions.
- Large, gold prospective land position internal to a district scale land consolidation by AngloGold between 2021 and 2025, though the acquisition of Corvus Gold (US$371M), Coeur Sterling (US$150M), a wholly owned subsidiary of Coeur Mining, and finally Augusta Gold ($197M).1,2,3,4
- Centrally located between AngloGold’s Bullfrog, North Bullfrog, and Arthur development projects, with gold reserves totaling 6 million ounces (Probable) and gold resources (excluding reserves) of 7.6 million ounces (Measured & Indicated) and 8 million ounces (Inferred).
- AngloGold announced a pre-feasibility in March 2026 that includes the first-ever gold reserves at Arthur, totaling 4.9 million ounces gold from two deposits with the potential to support an initial nine year mine life with average annual gold production of 500,000 ounces.4,5
Bullfrog’s South Bullfrog project features five primary, high-priority drill targets. Systematic geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and geophysical surveys have isolated distinct structural environments.
The company has completed a targeted field exploration and surface program to refine drillhole locations and derisk these high-priority targets.
Longtail
- Largely obscured by surface material (colluvium). However, it contains outcropping siliceous float and a clear bedrock window exhibiting intense steam-heated alteration (alunite-kaolinite-silica).
- The signature closely mirrors the geological framework found at AngloGold Ashanti’s nearby Arthur discovery. It is defined by distinctive rock and soil pathfinder geochemistry (arsenic, antimony, and mercury) paired with magnetic and electromagnetic (IP) anomalies.
Shingleback
- Positioned directly along a prominent brittle fault zone.
- It sits within a major mineralized structural trend, displaying intense alteration associated with regional fault conduits
Sledge
- Dominated by geological subrounded heterolithic breccias and chalcedony.
- The presence of structural brecciation and chalcedonous quartz points to a dynamic hydro-thermal plumbing system potentially capable of hosting substantial precious metal trap zones
Bottoms-up
- Defined by a significant steam-heated alteration footprint associated with highly silicified outcrops, quartz veinlets, and brecciation.
- This target coincides directly with a geophysically defined structural intersection. Geologists have interpreted the surface anomalies as geochemical leakage escaping from a possible deeper, hidden hydrothermal gold system concealed under shallow cover
Southeast (SE) Block
- Features prominent silicified rhyolitic ridges, oxidized volcanic units, a vitrophyric cap, and multiple historic mining adits.
- This block displays a massive, multi-level hydrothermal footprint, particularly concentrated along the Fluorspar Canyon fault zone. Because of its immense surface footprint, Bullfrog Gold prioritized mapping, prospecting, and surface sampling here to quickly advance it from an exploration concept into an active drill-testing phase.
Because South Bullfrog is tightly wedged directly between AngloGold’s Bullfrog, North Bullfrog, and Arthur development projects, Bullfrog management believes it’s drill targets potentially represent extensions of AngloGold Ashanti’s surrounding 21+ million-ounce gold system by acting as structural and geological “mirrors” to AngloGold’s core discoveries.
The alignment splits cleanly into two distinct geological models across the property:
The Western Flank: High-Grade Vein Systems
On the western edge of the South Bullfrog property the targets seem to align with the high-grade epithermal vein systems historically mined in the district:
- Two prominent north-south structural faults run straight along South Bullfrog’s western border.
- These faults could carry the identical high-grade quartz vein structures that Barrick Gold chased at the original Bullfrog mine to the south, and that AngloGold is developing at North Bullfrog to the north. Targets like Shingleback and Sledge are positioned precisely to intercept these potential deep fault conduits and hydrothermal trap zones
The Eastern Flank: Large-Scale Bulk Tonnage
On the eastern half of the property, the focus shifts toward massive, lower-grade, bulk-tonnage gold targets modeled after AngloGold’s newest discoveries:
- The Longtail and Bottoms-up targets display extensive “steam-heated” alteration signatures (alunite-kaolinite-silica). This exact surface footprint is the primary geological signature observed at AngloGold’s multi-million-ounce Arthur discovery.
- Geophysical data shows that South Bullfrog’s eastern targets feature the exact same pathfinder mineral anomalies—arsenic, antimony, and mercury—that led AngloGold to the massive Silicon and Merlin deposits just to the east.
Bullfrog’s highly focused surface field program at the South Bullfrog project combined traditional field geology with advanced tech to lock-in precise targets for drilling.
The technical breakdown of the ongoing surface exploration includes:
- Field crews executing extensive lithological and structural mapping across all five zones to map out fault conduits.
- The team used Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR) Alteration Analysis on rock chip samples. This detects subtle variations in clay-silica minerals, mapping out the precise temperature centers of a potential ancient hydrothermal gold system.
- Ongoing surface sampling is targeting detection of pathfinder elements—specifically arsenic, antimony, and mercury. High levels of these elements at the surface can potentially pinpoint gold mineralization at depth.
Priority Target Updates
- The Southeast (SE) Block is the primary focus of the ongoing program. Although acquired later and boasting widespread historical adits, shafts, and workings. It has never had any modern exploration. Surface crews have mapped the massive clay-silica ribs and volcanic alteration footprints to bring this block up to a drill-ready state.
- At Longtail, Shingleback, Sledge, and Bottoms-up the surface data is being integrated with existing induced polarization(IP) geophysics and satellite data. This directly isolates exactly where the drill rigs will setup to intercept the potential structural traps.
Conclusion
CEO Ian Slater stated that the property has now been systematically compiled with the foundational data necessary to position the company for a major discovery.
At AOTH we believe Bullfrog Gold has positioned itself as an extremely interesting drill play, and a potential consolidation play.
BULLFROG GOLD SELECTS DRILLING CONTRACTOR FOR 2026 DRILL PROGRAM
Bullfrog Gold Corporation (“Bullfrog Gold“) (TSX-V: FROG) is pleased to announce that it has engaged Major Drilling, for the fully permitted 2026 maiden drill program. Bullfrog Gold holds a 100% interest in the 10,050-acre South Bullfrog gold project located in the heart of the Beatty District in the Walker Lane Trend in Nevada, surrounded by AngloGold’s Bullfrog, North Bullfrog, and Arthur development projects (Figure 1)1.
Bullfrog Gold’s maiden drill program focusses on the high-priority Longtail and Shingleback epithermal gold targets and includes approximately 3,000 meters of planned exploration diamond drilling across 7 fully permitted drill pads (4 pads at Shingleback, 3 pads at Longtail). Drilling is expected to commence in Q4 2026.
