Prospectors association recognizes best performers of 2025

The Northwestern Ontario Prospectors Association (NWOPA) celebrated the top achievements within the region’s mineral exploration community April 8 in Thunder Bay.

Held annually, the NWOPA Awards recognizes individuals, companies and organizations for their outstanding achievements, mineral discoveries and mine developments.

This year, the Bernie Schnieders Discovery of the Year Award was given to Juno Corp. for its Big Thunder gold discoveries.
