For the seventh day in a row, multiple communities across B.C. set or tied high temperature records on Thursday.
Nine places in the province – most of them in the Interior – just saw their hottest Aug. 28 on record, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Thursday’s warmest record-breaking temperature was seen in Cache Creek, where the mercury hit 38.2 C, surpassing the previous record of 36.8 C, which was set eight years ago in 2017.
