Thematic vehicles are the best performing exchange-traded funds in 2024, with bitcoin and climate change-related ETFs returning the top results. ETFs offering exposure to Chinese equities and video gaming companies were also among the best performers for the year.
Overall, ETFs have seen tremendous net flows of $23.7 billion for the year to October 31, according to data from Betashares. This is above the previous record of $23.2 billion set in 2021.
