British Columbia ranks fourth in the world for its critical mineral deposits, and much of that wealth can be found in the northern half of the province.
That’s no secret to companies clamouring to get started on major mining projects.
An economic impact study conducted by the Mining Association of BC, unveiled Jan. 22 at the BC Natural Resources Forum in Prince George, assessed 24 critical mineral, precious metal and steel-making coal mining projects now under development in the northern half of the province. Together, they represent $67 billion in economic activity.
