B.C. mining boom leaving ‘struggling’ prospectors behind

The head of B.C.’s biggest mining exploration group has noticed that prospectors registered fewer claims within the staking system last year than in previous years: A concerning trend during an industry resurgence.

It’s a case of “two stories taking place,” said Todd Stone, CEO of the Association for Mineral Exploration B.C. “There’s a tremendous amount of momentum with respect to a growing number of well-developed projects.”
