This article is to inform VMS Ventures shareholders they own 45% of North American Nickel and give a heads up to others regarding what this author considers an excellent chance to get in on “ground floor company building.”
North American Nickel is a mineral exploration company with properties in the Sudbury, Ontario and Thompson, Manitoba mining camps. The Company's initial focus is on two Sudbury, Ontario properties.
Summary of North American Nickel’s exploration, Post Creek
The Post Creek project is located 35 km east of Sudbury, Ontario Canada and is strategically located adjacent to the producing Podolsky copper-nickel-platinum group metal mine.
Post Creek lies along the extension of the Whistle Offset dyke structure which is a major geological control for Ni-Cu-PGM mineralization. This structure hosted the former INCO Whistle Offset copper-nickel-PGM Mine as well as Quadra FNX Mining’s Podolsky North and Podolsky 2000 copper-precious metal deposits.
Summary of North American Nickel’s Bell Lake project, southwest Sudbury Basin
The Bell Lake property is a 256-acre property that covers approximately one kilometer of the Mystery Offset dyke or MOD. The MOD is interpreted to be an extension of the Worthington Offset dyke which is a 10 to 11 kilometer-long mineralized structure that extends from the southwest margin of the Sudbury igneous complex.
Offset Dyke environments are significant hosts to nickel-copper-PGM mineralization in the Sudbury Basin. The Worthington Offset Dyke hosts the past producing Worthington Mine and the Victoria Mine. It is also host to Vale Inco’s Totten Mine development.
I’ll be writing a more extensive article in the future regarding North American Nickel.
